This policy explains what personal data BIT BY BIT LABS PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “us”) collects when you use dhunix.com and the dhunix app, why we use it, and the choices you have. We are the controller of this data. Contact us about privacy at support@dhunix.com.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, name and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Your content: the audio, images, lyrics, titles and project settings you add to dhunix.
- Plan and usage data: your plan, subscription status, and counters such as exports and lyric auto-sync minutes used this period.
- Billing data: Paddle, our merchant of record, collects your payment details, billing address and tax information at checkout. We never see or store your full card number. Paddle shares with us your subscription status and limited details such as your country and the last digits of your card.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and request logs our hosting provider records when you use the Service, used for security and troubleshooting.
- Product usage data: the pages you visit and what you click in the dhunix app, plus recordings of your sessions in it (what appears on screen and how you move through it), linked to your account once you sign in. Text you type into fields and passwords are masked and never recorded.
- Messages: anything you send us when you contact support.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Where your videos are made
Videos are rendered in your own browser. When you use lyric auto-sync, the audio of that track is sent to our transcription provider to produce timed lyrics.
4. Who we share it with
We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or to a buyer if the business is sold, in which case this policy continues to apply.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
6. Cookies
We use the cookies the Service needs to work, such as the cookie that keeps you signed in. In the dhunix app, our analytics provider PostHog also stores an identifier in your browser (a cookie and local storage) so it can tell your visits apart and link them to your account. We do not use advertising cookies. If you use Sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies under its privacy policy.
7. How long we keep it
- Account data and your content: while your account is open.
- After you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account data and content within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Product usage data: up to 7 years; session recordings: up to 90 days.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their data and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights; we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising. To make a request, email support@dhunix.com. We reply within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
dhunix is not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data. No service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
11. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app.
